When we begin to live from within outward, in touch with...ourselves, and allowing that power to inform and illuminate our actions upon the world around us, then we begin to be responsible to ourselves in the deepest sense.

Audre Lorde

What is Holistic Psychotherapy?

Holistic Psychotherapy is an integrative, "whole-person" approach to mental health that addresses the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, rather than just treating symptoms. It combines traditional talk therapy with techniques like mindfulness, somatic work, and meditation to address root causes of distress, fostering deeper self-awareness and sustainable healing.

Often when people report feeling stuck, off, or generally disconnected, that is a good indication that this approach may be beneficial. As time and space are taken during sessions to explore language for complex experiences, processes of navigating major life transitions, grief, and chronic pain can also be supported.

This work draws on evidence based modalities of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) to offer focused psychological strategies.
