Community matters. People matter.
To understand, promote, and resolve issues within communities requires researchers and practitioners to have an understanding of human systems, needs, and behaviours. This means understanding power, resource, privilege, culture, and knowing.
Community Psychology is grounded in theories of empowerment, liberation, psycho-ecological systems, and critical reflection.
